Soft enamel pins, also referred to as embossed pins, have an embossed finish, where recessed areas of coloured enamel paint are surrounded by raised areas of metal that act as walls, separating each colour of your design.

If you rub your thumb across the surface of a soft enamel pin you will feel the raised metal ridges that separate each different coloured enamel area.
